An Hour of Wolves is upon us
A band of blades makes it final stand against the dark hordes.

Night falls. Winter takes hold. The black wind begins to blow. The enemy army is at the gates, and you are all that is left. Your final battle begins now.

OATHSWORN, the Band of Blades Actual Play, begins its finale today with a new game made for the occasion: AN HOUR OF WOLVES, a Wretched & Alone game about the final stand of an army against insurmountable odds.
Written by Brendan McLeod - the GM and producer of OATHSWORN - An Hour of Wolves asks players to roll an absurd quantity of dice (starting at 100!) to represent the Enemy besieging their position, and draw cards to decide what - or who - they must sacrifice in order to survive.

Written as the capstone to a Band of Blades campaign, An Hour of Wolves works as a standalone experience - or the final battle for any other campaign's story.
The game includes instructions for setup and play with any context, including recommendations that you can use to skew the experience for your group. Want to guarantee victory? Want to ensure defeat? Want to give your players 50/50 odds? There's instructions on how to do it, and much more.

Showcasing art by oddesque and additional design by Matthew Guzdial, An Hour of Wolves serves as the finale to Oathsworn's two-year-long release schedule.
Recorded during lockdown and released every-other-week, Oathsworn ordinarily plays Band of Blades, by Stras Acimovic and John LeBoeuf-Little, the Forged in the Dark game of military fantasy.
Oathsworn tells the tale of the Consonant Legion, a shattered mercenary company on the run from the undead horde of the Never. Oathsworn features an original, vibrant world, grim horror, sincere comradery, absurd humor, and an original score by Devin Nelson (who also performs on the show), with an eclectic mix of post-rock, ambient, drone, and folk music. Oathsworn's finale pits Kayo, Aoife, Nabain, Waloot, and the other myriad soldiers of the Legion against their greatest battle yet.
