Astracordis is an indie science fiction role-playing game focused on space exploration, research, diplomacy, and science. It’s played using Access Terminal, an application that includes several tools such as character sheets and a virtual game board.

This project was born as a game inspired by works like Star Trek, where diplomatic and scientific exploration takes precedence over direct action. That said, combat exists in Astracordis, both on foot and aboard starships, where each crew member fulfills a unique role.

The rulebook includes class-free character creation, mechanics for non-violent resolutions, combat rules, an official setting with eight playable species, a reference compendium of skills, items, weapons, and characters, and an introductory adventure.

One of Astracordis' twists is that it has its own custom-made VTT, called Access Terminal, a free companion app to the rulebook. It features character sheets, combat boards, virtual dice, unique systems for managing complex tasks, original music, and the ability to create online lobbies for a Game Master and up to six players.

The project reached its funding goal on Kickstarter some days ago, but it's now aiming to hit some of the stretch goals, like including the starting adventures in the physical book and additional art by talented illustrator Lur Noise.
