SYSTEM OVERRIDE for USER LIAISON

Vicious mercs, gallant rescue teams, clandestine agents; it’s all dirty work at the helm of a CASE, but someone has to do it. Go it alone as an independent Crew or pledge your squad to a Faction and their grand plans in CASE&SOUL; a high-octane, low-friction FITD system designed for short campaigns filled with mecha action.

Created by the designer of Armour Astir: Advent, as featured on Friends At The Table, CASE&SOUL invites players to create a Crew of desperate castaways, interstellar mercs, ship captains and more, and pitch them against the uncaring stars in a Faction-driven sandbox of their own making. CASE&SOUL is lightweight by design, using a cut-down, streamlined version of the system used in games like Blades In The Dark; containing everything players and prospective GMs need in just over 30 pages.

Intended for 3-5 players, and best enjoyed for short campaigns or one-shots, it launches on itch.io alongside a crowdfunding campaign for additional content, artwork by artist Tan Juan Gee, and free copies for the community.

Running from its release date on March 1st until May 1st, the campaign has already blitzed through the majority of its goals, reaching 90% of its funding target within the first few days. Luckily, the support tiers for CASE&SOUL (which include bulk bundles of community copies as well as personalized content like Factions & Freelancers) as well as a special itchfunding bundle (containing designer Briar Sovereign's entire body of ttrpg work) continue to be available until the end of the campaign, regardless of how early the final goals are met.
