In Tabula Rasa: Discovery Edition, 2-4 players and an Architect (the game’s facilitator) work together to pose and answer questions of self-identity for malleable characters.
In this game, each player creates more of a sketch than a fully-fleshed out being. And as they journey, they‘ll learn Reminders of another existence, hidden just past the veil in their mind. These Reminders are written by the other players and revealed during narratively relevant moments, challenging the character to either Accept or Reject it as part of their self-identity.
This is the first game to be carved with the Blank Slate System, which uses opposing dice pools representing skills (d6) and hazards (d4) that can be influenced through use of Reminder Points.
Tabula Rasa: Discovery Edition comes with three setting options, Wilds & Wonders, Power Down, and Guided Path, which provide a narrative framework and unique game details. Alternatively, your group can use these setting guide's framework to create your own setting!
