The image shows a snowy Americana backroad of farms and piney woodlands. A single car laden with luggage presses onward, while a massive alien ship looms behind. In front of this landscape image, an image of the Last Caravan book floats, and the title: The Last Caravan: A Cars and Aliens Roleplaying Game by Ted S. Bushman.

The aliens came less than a year ago. The war lasted two months, but nobody won. Now, you and your quirky family will take a midwinter road trip across a transformed North America in a TTRPG that looks a little like "Little Miss Sunshine" meets "War of the Worlds." Welcome to The Last Caravan, now back on kickstarter!

Since The Last Caravan was first kickstarted in 2023, the game has joined the Mythworks family (home of The Wildsea, Slugblaster, and CBR+PNK) and been nominated for the two biggest awards the ENnies can offer: Best Game and Product of the Year.

The background image shows a smoking wreck of a beautiful alien ship. Above it in the air floats the symbol of the ENnie Awards, with the words: 2025 Nominee: Best Game / Product of the Year. To the right of that is a quote from Spenser Starke, lead designer of Daggerheart: "The Last Caravan is a heartfelt, evocative experience that explores the human side of the sci-fi genre: a combination of Denis Villeneuve's "Arrival" and Alex Garland's "Civil War." It's a beautiful work of game design."

Now, this post-apocalyptic road trip has returned to Kickstarter to fund a new reprint and two exhilarating new expansions: Lost Highway, a deep GM's guide that adds playable aliens, dozens of scenarios, and rich campaign adds to make your game more emotional and more awesome; and Westward Bound, which answers the age-old question: "What if you took a midwinter alien apocalypse road trip game... as a buncha dogs?"

"The last two years have been an incredible journey for our little game," says Ted Bushman, the game's designer. "Now we feel more confident than ever about how to create amazing experiences at people's tables in the gorgeous world that our artists are bringing to life."
