From Free Solo to Touching The Void, climbing media has really hit the mainstream. But for gamers feeling the call of adventure, there is now a way you can engage in the most perilous of climbing expeditions from the comfort of your own home.

The new game by Laurie O’Connel offers a method of procedurally generating summits and navigating your way up them using tarot cards.

Players use a custom deck of tarot cards, designed by artist and award winning writer Kayla Dice, to generate challenging climbs inspired by some of the world's most famous peaks and big walls.

To overcome these challenges and answer the call of the mountain, players have to use the cards they have in their deck, competing both against the difficulty of the obstacles ahead of them, and the hands of the other players at the table. As you roleplay overcoming obstacles, trading cards, one-upping each other, and revealing more about your lives on the way, you’ll reach the summit with a better understanding of each of your characters, though you may not like each other more.

Whilst off work, your climbers must balance their family, work and training commitments whilst spending the money and prestige they earned on the mountain to level up their characters. With different types of challenge, a book packed with the lore of the mountains, and many varied prompts, you can keep on climbing until your characters’ luck finally runs out. Will you retire as a legendary climber, or die as one?

You can follow the project before launch to avoid missing out on early-bird bonuses.

"I'm watching this game. I'm always here for a game with setting or mechanics that are unlike anything I've ever played, and Full Send has both." - Quintin Smith, Creator of Quinn's Quest
"O'Connel's design is, as ever, slick and smart, giving a game which is competitive, cooperative, and driven. Full Send is clever, delivering narrative freedom, tight rails, and enough crunch to keep even Lancer fans happy." - Marx Shepard, Far Horizons Co-op.
