Magic Dungeons is a 2-6 players game that mixes elements from card games and boardgames to create a unique, familiar and personalized dungeon delving tabletop roleplay experience.
Draft characters and adventures, then deckbuild and play your way through a dungeon, facing puzzles and monsters room after room.
Curate Your Own Gamescape
The secret sauce that makes Magic Dungeons is the Adventure Cube. Any kind of playing card or card-like game piece can be given a new context as a Magic Dungeons card. Make your own Adventure Cube and personalize it as you see fit. Want to make on Adventure Cube out of two sets of playing cards? You can shuffle them together and start playing. A collection of your favorite Minor and Major Arcana cards from various Tarot decks? An Adventure Cube of old Magic: The Gathering cards that are worth nothing and you find no other use for? We have made many such Adventure Cubes!
Play As Adventurous Pallas Cats!
To teach the game, how to interpret different cards through the rules of Magic Dungeons, and to have something that you can truly just grab off the shelf and play, we created our own Cube with over 300 custom-made cards.
They were designed to have adorable but brave manuls going through adventures, facing the kind of enemies that would fill the niche of classic fantasy creatures for a Pallas cat.
One Deck, Many Adventures
Your Adventure Cube curates the tone and mood for your adventures, but does not the terms in stone. Each new adventure, you play a short mini-game with the Cube to create a new plot and character concepts.
Once you have worked together to create your adventurers and the plot, use the facts established to draft a Dungeon deck and a Character Deck for each adventurer.
Multiple Ways To Play
We know how difficult it is to get a group together, and how Magic Dungeon is a game that is easy to learn and teach, but may not be the most comfortable to transport—especially if you make multiple Adventure Cubes. Not to mention, card collections can get expensive.
As such, we looked into everything from PrintOnDemand options to two online play options: a Tabletop Simulator option and a Playingcards.io option.
