Serving Up Disaster - A TTRPG of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES
A chaotic comedy TTRPG about a famous no-nonsense TV Chef trying to save various failing restaurants across the country.

Serving Up Disaster is a TTRPG for 2–6 players by Molomoot, about a famous yet divisive TV Chef visiting various failing restaurants across the country, Identifying Problems and working with the Staff to transform the struggling restaurant into a successful business. Launching August 1st on Kickstarter!
Play as either Chef, desperately trying to save these failing businesses or as the Staff, dishing out your desires and disasters. Maybe together you can rescue this culinary disaster.
In each session, Chef visits a new location with a whole new restaurant, with the aim of helping its Staff change their bad attitudes, repair their broken relationships, and overcome their intractable Problems, to ensure a successful Relaunch Night and a bright future of the restaurant.
This game was inspired by binge-watching too many episodes of Kitchen Nightmares, and builds on tools from the Brindlewood Bay game engine by Jason Cordova.

Each session will always follow the same 5 act structure: Introduction, Chef Tries The Food, Chef Observes Service, Refurbishment, Relaunch Night.
Over the course of each session you will be uncovering the various Problems that plague the restaurant. During the Relaunch Night the Staff come together to describe how they will resolve these Problems, and to put the restaurant back on track for success.
There are some other unique twists you'll experience throughout each session such as Chef's Hail Mary, where after discovering a Major Problem, Chef will react with an extreme plan to encourage the Staff to change their misguided ways. Or perhaps you'll put on a Toque, describing a private monologue to the "camera" and showing the characters inner thoughts and feelings to gain a benefit.

Serving Up Disaster's layout is intended to replicate the feeling of overstimulating takeaway menus and cheap American diners. The book is filled with a variety of layout styles so each page turn is exciting and novel, while still easily read and useable at the game table.
Physical copies (available through Kickstarter) will be printed as an A5 saddlestitch zine and will include a PDF (which can also be bought separately). The PDF has been tested with screen readers for accessibility purposes, there will also be a text only version available.
