Sirens’ Oath: Tides Turning is here to literally make waves
Play a pissed off mermaid witch in this “revenge-driven eco-fantasy.”
Sirens’ Oath: Tides Turning caused me to make a little intrigued “oooooo” face when I first stumbled across it. With minis from Warp Miniatures’ Alex Huntley, my initial assumption was that the company was branching out into some kind of tactical RPG. Closer inspection — by which I mean actually reading the words that accompanied the pretty pictures — revealed that, beyond the mini design, Sirens’ Oath didn’t have anything to do with Alex at all. It’s instead the first project from Twisted Spire, a new company spun up to showcase wife Wingshan Huntley’s work. What’s more, Sirens’ Oath describes itself as “a revenge-driven, eco-fantasy, mermaid coven, one-shot TTRPG,” which sounds brilliant but not a game you’d expect to need miniatures for. I was hooked, and discovering that designer Evie Moriarty collaborated with Wingshan on the game only reeled me in further.
