...and onto your table! Play as a magical baker travelling the world helping people with the power of sugar, butter, and flour!
StoryBake is a baking/adventure TTRPG by professional baker and game designer Dan Walter. It's a game about the magic of baking, the power of friendship, and finding wonder in the mundane world.
Play as a magical baker, drawing power from your own specific flavor of baking. You can choose to be a Breads specialist, or Pies and Tarts, or Cakes, or Custards, and many more! And together you can make your own Bakery; deciding how it looks, what it sells, and how it moves around (I'm partial to large chicken legs, of course).
Included amongst the rules you will also have access to printable versions of the Baker and Bakery Sheets, as well as 13 pre-written adventures for you to play! And when you're done playing, you can bake one of the recipes based off of those adventures! Recipes like: The Babka Yaga, the Choux Choux Train, and Java Lava Creme Brulee!
As Bakers, you have access to a bevvy of abilities and skills to use. Trying to solve a puzzle? You might want to Use Your Sweet Smarts! Trying to persuade someone to do what you want? You'll need to Sugar Coat. Want to make a miniature dough minion to do your biddings? Well then you'll have to use the Raise the Bread ability available to Bread specialists.
As the Head Chef (aka Game Master), you'll be tasked with making the recipe for your players to follow. Setting up the world, filling it with people, and designing troubles for your Bakers to overcome!
