Surviving Strangehollow launches on GameFound on September 9, 2025.

Surviving Strangehollow is a supplement and setting for D&D 5E (2014 and 2024 compatible) based on the hand-painted watercolors of Emily Hare. Strangehollow is unlike anything in the current 5E landscape. The stories and artwork highlight elements similar to The Dark Crystal, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Last Unicorn, and a bit of Alice in Wonderland. The new systems and setting materials can be used in any campaign, or stand-alone, to allow gaming groups to craft stories specific to Strangehollow. The lead artist, Emily Hare, has constructed a vast, beautiful world with her series of 3 (soon to be 4) art books based on Strangehollow.

Accidental Cyclops Games partnered with Emily beginning in 2023 to reimagine her world as a fantasy TTRPG. The design team landed on making it a 5E supplement after learning that many of Emily's existing fans are avid D&D players.

Some of the premium products for Surviving Strangehollow.

The project includes one setting/rules supplement book, one twelve-part adventure book, seven custom miniatures (digital files), and several other products inspired by Emily's work. There is plenty of new content for both players and DMs, including over 100 new monsters, 15 subclasses, several feats and backgrounds, new spells, and a ton of magic items.

The team includes an amazing amalgamation of legends, veterans, and new designers. This includes Erin Roberts (Paizo), James Haeck (Critical Role and Ghostfire), Bryan CP Steele (Renegade, Evil Genius), Ed Greenwood (Forgotten Realms, and 400 other things), Dan Dillon (WOTC, Kobold Press, Avantris), Elisa Teague (Renegade, Avantris, WOTC), Dael Kingsmill (Ghostfire Monarch's Factory), and many others! Jason Ward (The Real Thing RPG) is the lead designer, and Shawn Merwin (WOTC, Ghostfire, etc.) leads development and editing.
