Where everyone dies and the rules don’t matter

"Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill!" is your improv uncle’s new favorite actual play

Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! is a long-form improv anthology using the mechanics and monsters of Dungeons & Dragons. With a live studio audience and rotating cast members, the show feels more in the tradition of Who’s Line Is It Anyway and Upright Citizen Brigade’s Characters Welcome than actual plays you might be more familiar with.

If you can get past the overwhelming product placement, and embrace the earnest millennial comedic style, the show can be a fun on-ramp for people unfamiliar with actual plays to experience the medium. Purple Worm doesn't really explain the rules of D&D, and presumes you come into the show knowing the game, but the rules are honestly secondary (which Wizards of the Coast might tear their skin off to read).

The main draw of Purple Worm is two-fold: a cast filled with celebrities from across nerddom and the show’s narrative conceit. Each episode centers around four first level adventurers embarking on a Suicide Squad-style mission where they face legendary monsters from Dungeons & Dragons lore–and, unsurprisingly, get “Kill! Kill!”ed.
