Galactic warfare gets an upgrade with Star Wars: Legion’s new starter boxes
A deal you should pray they don’t alter.

Did you know that Thomas and I have been Rascals for over a year now? And it’s almost a year to the day since my first article blathering on about starter sets, so it feels especially appropriate to write about new starter sets for one of my favorite games — Star Wars: Legion. There are a whole bunch of Star Wars minis games, active and defunct, so as a quick reminder: TKGAMENAME is the 28mm ground battles one with a mix of foot troops, cavalry, and vehicles; Legion is the game that, if Rascal gave a shit about SEO, I’d probably be calling Star Wars Warhammer in the headline.
You’ll notice that I said starter sets, plural. Atomic Mass Games has gone with individual boxes for each of the four main factions in Legion, rather than the two-player original and prequel trilogy sets from when the game was still being developed by Fantasy Flight Games. The starters cover the Rebel and Imperial forces from the original movies, along with the Clones and Droids that were introduced in the prequel movies, but heavily expanded by the Clone Wars cartoon series. I’ll be referring specifically to the Imperial set I’ve used to start a brand new Legion army, but the starters are identical other than the actual miniatures and cards included.
