Girl Frame is a PbtA game about oppressed Lesbians in half-alive mechs fighting eldritch horrors, being exploited by their Handler, and having relationships with disastrous consequences.

Girl Frame is written by Isabelle M. Ruebsaat (@anxiousmimicrpgs) and uses the Apocalypse Keys engine to facilitate stories of dystopia, transfemininity, and inhumanity. It draws heavily from Neon Genesis Evangelion, 86, Armored Core, and the new Mechsploitation genre, blending its themes with intricate systems designed to create delightfully toxic dynamics between its characters.

Pick a Girl Playbook, such as the Stim-Blissed, Mockingbird, Casualty, or Princess, and a Frame playbook, like CONSUME, Wyvern_0.4, or The Enforcer. Erase your Identities and be given new ones, earn Permissions and suffer Punishments. Never disobey.

Girl Frame also considers the GM role, giving the Handler 3 of their own playbooks (the Mistress, the Dogrunner, and the Scientist), each of which will change the way they run the game in interesting and unique ways. They also have access to a modular system to create Gorgons (eldritch horrors that could spell the end of humanity), and playbooks for Gorgon-corrupted Girls and Rebels ready for defeat.

Pilots are not legally human for the duration of their service, and as such are exempt from anti-discrimination laws. It is standard practice within the Foundation that all Vital Frames are referred to with she/her pronouns, while all Pilots are referred to with it/its.
