Greek Folklore meets Shadowdark in this spine-chilling adventure...
The all-Greek Horror TTRPG has just launched on Kickstarter!

Erebus Mythos: Vampyr is a short horror campaign rooted in Greek folklore, inspired by traditional vampire myths and strange events recorded in the village of Sofiko in 1846.

Set in 19th-century Greece, just years after independence, it is a land caught between the old and the new where superstition and faith are still stronger than reason, and where the line between myth and reality blurs dangerously.
The story is based on the myth of the Vrykolakas, an undead creature from Balkan tradition that feeds on fear, faith, and family bonds. This same legend went on to inspire Gothic classics like Polidori’s The Vampyr, Stoker’s Dracula, and many others...
Some of it's stand-out features includes:
- A full-length adventure for 3-5 players inspired by authentic folklore and historical events.
- Custom Folk Horror Mechanics that bring Greek superstition to life. New classes and backgrounds designed for 19th-century Greece.
- Monsters from Greek folklore, including, the infamous Vrykolakas.
- A one-shot adventure and pre-generated characters, ready to play immediately.
It also comes with a plethora of new mechanics for Shadowdark that call back to Greek folk traditions, including but not limited to...
- Ritual-based Magic: Spells are performed as folk rituals with real-life components, relics, and charms.
- The Evil Eye: A living curse based on tradition. Envy, malice, or simple bad luck can afflict you, twisting every roll until a cleansing ritual breaks it.
- Fear & Terror: Face horrors and roll to stay in control. Panic in the moment, and suffer lasting effects like paranoia or melancholy. Every choice matters!
- Signature Items: Every character carries a small charm. Once per day, you can call on it for strength. The items within the protective kit bundle are the actual premade signature items within the game.
- And much more...
The game is made by an all-Greek team, and everything will be hand-made in Greece. Quoting the campaign...
"This is a true passion project for us. We grew up with these stories, and now we’re excited to bring them to your table.
That’s why everything will be produced in Greece:
- The books and maps, and printed handouts will be printed by Vogiatzoglou Printing House in Trikala.
- The mini woolen prayer ropes (komboskini) in the Kit will be handwoven by nuns at a monastery on the island of Crete.
- The wooden engraved charms and Stain tokens will be custom-made by Cucos Crafts, a local woodcrafter- 3D designer from the island of Crete.
- The Constantinato pendants, sage bundles, and glass vial items will all be made by Saita Concept Store, a local creator from the island of Skiathos."
