Green Ronin asks public to help fund legal battle against Diamond Comic Distributors
“This is a dire financial threat to our company, not just today, but well into the future.”

Green Ronin Publishing, one of the tabletop companies with books held ransom by Diamond Comics Distributors, is seeking public donations to fund legal counsel in their struggle against the bankrupted business. Co-owner Nicole Lindroos recently launched a GoFundMe initiative — an infamous last bastion for crowdfunding medical aid — seeking $28,000 that the AGE and Expanse RPG publisher needs for a mere chance at retrieving their lost consigned inventory.
"There is no one that I trust involved in this mess, so I don’t have any confidence of a good resolution"
Diamond’s messy and public death throes crashed into the tabletop industry when several publishers — including Paizo, Roll for Combat, and Lionwing — learned that the banks and creditors that now control a sliver of the original distributor would not be returning books held on consignment. Citing a loophole in the US Uniform Commercial Code, this semblance seemingly wants to liquidate the stock to help pay off tens of millions in debt owed to JP Morgan Chase and other massive financial institutions. According to Green Ronin founder and president Chris Pramas, this includes more than $300,000 in retail value, or a substantial $120,000 in revenue.
