Monster Truckers: Long Haul into the Worstlands hits the road in digital form. After a successful crowdfunding campaign on Backerkit earlier this year it's available to backers and also anyone who missed out.
Monster Truckers: Long Haul into the Worstlands is a celebration of the working class and outcasts of society: long ago there was a war between humans and monsters. Humans came out on top and now monster folk are stuck under their thumbs, doing the jobs that humans can't (or don't want to).
The Worstlands is what's left of the world after it went rotten from humanity using doomsday bombs that ended the war. It's a wild and dangerous place and only the strongest and most daring (or foolish and most desperate) attempt to survive in it.
Monster Truckers is a traditional pen-and-paper tabletop role playing game featuring players taking the roles of truck driving monsters. The game is inspired by '70s trucker movies and culture, classic movie monsters, a bit of Adventure Time and Mad Max, and the freewheeling freedom that was once promised to be out on the open road.
The monsters of Monster Truckers get in their big rigs and explore strange locations, meet odd folks, get into tussles, and face terrible dangers all while trying to make their deliveries on time.
Under the Hood
Monster Truckers requires a six sided dice, some paper and a pencil, 2 to 5 players, and several hours of time to play.
Mechanics are based on the easy to learn and run Tricube Tales system by Zadmar Games, which feature simple d6 based mechanics that encourage fast and fun action that leaves plenty of room for role playing and improvisation. Whether it's driving at breakneck speed to outrace bandits or fighting a dinosaur with a laser for a head, the mechanics make it possible and easy to do.

Monster Truckers features all the rules you need to make characters, vehicles, and advice on how to run the game. There's also plenty of lore and prompts to help you make adventures. There's also two adventures included. Plus, you get a printable CB microphone to use as a prop while playing!
