New Release - Inscribed: Heartstealer
Take on this massive Solo-TTRPG using a Deck of Cards and your Fate!
"O pitiful Kin! You who were once capable of taming the lands with your hard-won divinity. Your body was once a tapestry with the scars of your life, each oath a scene etched on your skin. You, who are blessed by the Impartial Father and tempered under his unyielding flame to carry the will of the Kin after the world has been set ablaze and naught but cinders remain.
You are truly crestfallen."
These are the words that will set the tone for the journey that you will take across the Mehndalian Freelands, a 12x12 Grid Map of Swamps, Plains, Coasts, Forests, and Rivers.
Inscribed: Heartstealer is a Solo-TTRPG with Deck Building and Character Management. There are additional game modes, including a Duet Mode for Two-Player Cooperative play and a DM Mode if one player would like to guide the experience for another player.
You play as the Inscribed, an anthropomorphic animal knight on a quest to claim back your heart from the titular Heartstealer before time runs out and you die. To do this, you will travel day by day across the land, reclaiming your scattered memories as well as gaining equipment and allies all in search of the home of the Heartstealer to find and slay them.
You start your campaign by selecting 1 of 4 Origins that will not only inform your starting equipment but also the types of memories you have access to from which you build your deck from. You employ a combination of Actions from your starting set of cards and your equipment, with your Health, Energy, Card Draw, and even Mulligans being based on your starting stats.

The game is an incredibly dense experience, spanning over 62 in-game Days with over 100 Events and Encounters to take on, over 200 pieces of equipment to collect, 4 Dungeons to defeat, and multiple endings affected by the decisions that you take along your journey. The expected playtime is around 60 hours to complete 1 playthrough of the game.
Oftentimes, running a Solo-TTRPG can be difficult so included with the game is a Form-Fillable Character sheet with built-in trackers for your Events, Encounters, and Action Stack (the Deck of Cards from which your combat actions derive from), a Reference sheet for quick references to running the tables that generate your Events and Encounters, as well as a built-in Glossary and aids for running combat, and a template for running the game online on playingcards.io if you would prefer to play using that method instead of on a physical table with cards and dice.
It is recommended to play using the Character Sheet, the Reference Sheet, and the Journal. An average in-game day will take 1 hour to complete, assuming both combat encounters and journaling. If you forego the Journaling experience, you can squeeze 2-3 Game Day's within 1 hour of playtime.
This 240 page Book for Inscribed: Heartstealer is available now from itch.io! Designed by Miguel Fernandez. Aside from the Cover, there is no art at the moment.
