Pale Dot is a collaborative storytelling game for 2-5 players about a crew of dustlings, non-human cosmonauts journeying beyond their world in search of answers.

It is fantastical, surreal, and perhaps very unlike humanity’s own ventures in space exploration. Though one thing is universal: leaving home is terrifying, dangerous, humbling, and a catalyst for changing one’s perspective.

Available now digitally or as a physical book published by Plus One Exp.

Recommended for fans of Outer Wilds and Annihilation!

Pale Dot combines the evocative improvisational GM-less prompt based gameplay of Fall of Magic with the GM-full structure of a Belonging Outside Belonging game to create a collaborative framework for players to craft an alien setting together and propel its denizens into space in the name of cosmic mystery.

Players will embody a crew of dustling cosmonauts as they explore 36 locations within their strange solar system in their trusty makeshift ship. In addition, each player will author one of the Elements, the narrative pillars that react to the story and allow each player to be a mini-GM for a specific sliver of the setting.

Cosmonauts will provoke the Omnipresent Danger to put themselves in peril in order to find clues to their cosmic mystery and perhaps find themselves along the way.
