Open Hearth's Free TTRPG Con runs Oct. 2nd to Oct. 5th
The Open Hearth is proud to present the Shared Hearth, a free weekend of open online gaming taking place Thursday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 5th, 2025. This event is completely free. Anyone can play—you don’t have to be a community member.
Throughout the weekend a variety of game facilitators will be running 3-4 hour online ttrpg sessions. We also have a couple of workshops/discussions. Participation is free and rules will be taught. This is a community-created event to introduce folks to new games, teach people about online rpg play, and show off the community. Most games use simple tools, so you don’t have to be familiar with a tabletop sim app.
Signups will be handled via Playabl with the Open Hearth Gaming Community. You can sign up for the community there, which gets you access to signups when they open. Once you register for the community and the admins have confirmed it, you’ll be set up.
All events will open for signup on Tuesday, September 16th at Noon Eastern US time (UTC-4). All events will follow our Community Code of Conduct, and all GMs will be expected to explain and use safety tools of some kind (Lines & Veils, X-Card, etc). We expect players and GMs to respect those rules and systems to help ensure our event is fun and comfortable for all participants. We will also have channels on our Discord server to contact in the event of issues with play during the event. Players who sign up will be contacted several days ahead of the session with links and information.
