The One-Page RPG Jam is back for 2025

The ever popular One-Page RPG Jam returns for the summer. This ENNIE-nominated game jam is about making new, one-page table-top roleplaying games on single sheets of paper. Easy to pick up and learn, one-page RPGs allow you to spend less time reading and more time playing.

Participants are given five weeks in July and August to write and design a brand new game, where the core rules fit on one side of a piece of paper, with extra content on the back. The jam runs from Monday 14 July through to Sunday 17 August, at which point submissions close.

Now in its sixth year, the jam has seen designers create over 2000 new role-playing games across a breadth of genres and styles. Many of these projects have gone beyond their single-page origin to even greater products, such as Eleventh Beast by ENNIE-nominee Exeunt Press, and A Perfect Rock by Deep Dark Games, which raised over $70,000 on Kickstarter for an expanded book version of their jam submission.

This year, the jam has been nominated for a prestigious ENNIE award, voting for which runs concurrently with the jam until July 20. More details can be found at the ENNIE Awards website.

For 2025 the jam has an optional theme to help spark inspiration for anyone who wants to use it, or can be ignored if sticking to a single page is already enough of a restriction. This year the theme is “Growth”.
