The One Shot Network Brings on Shaghik Mané as Senior Producer and Marketing Manager

The One Shot podcast network has been creating Actual Play and other podcasts centering tabletop roleplaying games for over 12 years. Some of the network’s long-running shows include One Shot, which across over 600 episodes has featured 190 different RPGs, Campaign (Star Wars & Skyjacks), a masterclass in long-form collaborative world-building and storytelling, the multiple award-winning Asians Represent, celebrating Asian representation in gaming and pop-culture alike, and Skyjacks: Courier’s Call, an outstanding Actual Play series made specifically for younger audiences. In recent years, the network has been through some big changes. Notably, James D’Amato, co-founder of the network and One Shot, passed on the host position for his flagship show to Dillin Apelyan. And, this past year, the network has expanded to host and support even more shows that center the games we love and the people that make them, like Gamewoven, Herald’s Horn, Sacred Machinations, and so many more. 

With all these changes, the network is looking to continue to grow to support more creators, more performers, and more games with our shows, and Shaghik’s new role is a huge part of that hopeful endeavor. 

“To put it simply, I'm here to make the network grow. With so many great new shows having been added to the network recently (and more coming soon that I'm personally very excited about) and the long running ones continuing to make great art, I have felt a strange responsibility to get as many new eyes and ears on them as possible, since long before my new title was a thought in anyone's mind. I got started on the network little over a year ago as the editor of The Ultimate RPG Podcast, which I think has some of the most interesting conversations and interviews in the actual play sphere. Then in January I got started as the sound designer for the One Shot podcast and have been working closely with Dillin to this day (and will continue to do so for eternity). Dillin, I believe, is doing some of the best work out there when it comes to actual play and just being a podcast host in general. Besides the shows I have had a hand in producing, the network has also been the home of so many other great shows like System Mastery, What am I Rolling, Roleplay Retcon, Sacred Machinations, Asians Represent and so many more. The point of all of this rambling is that there's great work being done on the network and my goal is to make sure that continues. Most of all I'm just looking forward to working closer with the creators on the network. The name of the game is creative collaboration and that's all I'm thinking about right now.”
