Twice Rolled Tales brings 10 Candles to the deep woods in new actual play "Keep the Lights On"
A spooky story for those unafraid of what lurks in the dark

KEEP THE LIGHTS ON: A TEN CANDLES ACTUAL PLAY PREMIERES ON YOUTUBE OCTOBER 23
Tales like these tend to start in a similar way: a group of friends decides to take a reprieve from their busy lives in the city for a much-needed weekend in nature. They pack only the necessities: two tents, some snacks, enough light to tell a ghost story by, and a camera to capture the memories.
What follows in Keep the Lights On, a new actual play from Twice Rolled Tales, is anything but your traditional horror movie.

As the players venture into the woods, they discover unsettling memories of the past
Inspired by found-footage hallmarks of the horror genre, Keep the Lights On features Justin Estrada (@jestrada, The Panic Table), Dane Giuffre (@danegiuffre, Rolls Untold), and Phoebe Zimmerer (@phoebe.zimmerer, Twice Rolled Tales) as player-cinematographers who each take turns behind the camera as the lights get lower and the stakes get higher. Director and Game Master Linnie Schell (@linnie.schell, Twice Rolled Tales) leads the crew, using the shared narrative control mechanics that are central to Steven Dewey’s Ten Candles TTRPG to tell a story of death, despair, community, and hope in the face of unassailable odds.

As the light fades, players find ways to keep hope alive
Keep the Lights On also features a new song by Scottish indie-folkpunk band The Narcissist Cookbook (@thenarcissistcookbook), “If The Morning Never Comes,” which will premiere with the AP on Thursday, October 23.
