Yggdrasil MGZ Volume 2, Issue 2
An underground hexcrawl for Torchbearer and D&D B/X

Yggdrasil MGZ is a quarterly magazine that features art, essays, fiction, and gaming material for the Torchbearer RPG and B/X Era Dungeons & Dragons. It marries the sensibilities of a one person 'zine with a deep appreciation for the house gaming magazines of the past. If you have a fondness for the magazines Dragon, Dungeon, Warp Stone, White Dwarf, and White Wolf, Yggdrasil MGZ has something for you.

In Volume 2, Issue 2 of Yggdrasil MGZ you get to enter the Bone Forest, an apocalyptic wilderness that lies deep below the Sea of Glass. It is a vast territory in which every tree, hill, and structure is constructed of calcified bones. There, the adventurers will find ancient grudges, a simmering civil war, and surprises around every tree. Friends become enemies and enemies friends depending on what the party does at every turn.

Designed to work for both Torchbearer's and Basic/Expert D&D's unique proclivities, the adventure provides a series of tools to support both pre planning and ad hoc approaches to play. You will also find advice on how to create non dungeon based adventures using the adventure design tools found in the Torchbearer Scholar's Guide.
In this issue of Yggdrasil MGZ you will get a sprawling adventure that includes:
• A sprawling hex crawl with forty-one locations ready to use.
• Four dungeons more deeply detailed to be explored.
• The Grand Dais, a dungeon that is a puzzle and the path to the next issues adventure.
• A host of monsters for your party to face.
• Guidelines on how to create non-dungeon adventures for both B/X D&D and Torchbearer.

Volume Two, Issue Two
Deep below the Sea of Glass, beyond the endless mourning song of the dirge gate lies the Bone Forest. It is a vast territory in which every tree, hill, and structure is constructed of calcified bones. Cast in a perpetual twilight by the God Eye, there are no reliable paths in the Bone Forest, just endless skeleton trees, mounds of skulls, and the occasional structure or hamlet to break the powdery monotony.
Do you dare face its challenges and discover its secrets?
