Our recent article about the fate of Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast, and that of its creators, sparked a significant amount of interest, questions, and criticism from readers. The Rascal team decided to dedicate Episode 30 of the Rascal Radio Hour to a larger and more casual conversation tackling those inquiries. Thomas and Chase start by discussing the reporting process and the limitations the article faced, paired with frustrations regarding how tabletop news is generally discussed online.

In the second half, the pair tackle some direct questions and criticism sent in by readers. Why didn't the payment figures play a larger role in the discussion? Where was all the context regarding Brandfox's role in what happened to Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast? What about the breach of contract the freelancers mentioned?

It's a long episode, and maybe not as fun as our normal fare. But if you're curious about how Rascal does journalism then this will hopefully be an insightful listen. Regular programming resumes next week with a new Rascal Reading Club episode!

You can find Rascal Radio Hour on AppleSpotify, and all the other various podcatchers. Leaving a five-star review helps new listeners find our show and website. Since we eschew traditional advertising, these reviews and any word-of-mouth are genuinely a massive help — thank you!
