To celebrate the launch of the new historical-apocalypse game Danse Macabre: Medieval Horror Roleplaying by Christopher Pickett, three members of the cast of the popular actual play podcast Fun City are teaming up with the indie game publishers of the Stillfleet Studio for a one-night-only actual-play event.

Come out to join the amazing Jenn de la Vega, Mike Rugnetta, and Bijan Stephen as well as game designers Wythe Marschall and Christopher Pickett for one unforgettable dark, multi-hour quest. This unique show involves a literal blood heist, brutal mutant combat, and social intrigue among the scheming Greco-Ottoman elite of the game’s rich alt-history setting.

The old school-inspired but innovative tabletop roleplaying game Danse Macabre combines the best of dark fantasy, new-school player-empowerment, zombie-apocalypse vibes, and historically grounded design.

Tickets are $19 ahead of time, $22 the day of the event. Ticketholders who back the Danse Macabre campaign on Kickstarter will receive a special gift at the show. Attendees are encouraged to dress up to match the game’s medieval vibe.

This is a great chance to meet some of NYC’s finest actual-play performers in the absolutely epic setting of Stone Circle Theatre, a not-for-profit creative and cultural performing arts venue at the Ridgewood Presbyterian Church (59-14 70th Avenue, Queens), which hosts a variety of concerts and other events. (Yes, this invent is bringing zombies to church.)
