Dungeon Scrawl: March Update
Roll20’s TTRPG mapmaker launches new support for in-person play.
Roll20’s mapmaking software Dungeon Scrawl helps bring ideas to the table with as little friction as possible, and today, we've introduced a brand new feature (available to everyone) that puts your maps front and center in your in-person games.
Send to Tabletop works alongside your computer's native options for extending your display to a TV or Monitor and opens a full-screen view of your map (without any of the drawing tools/interface) in a new browser window to cast. The map is expertly resized to 1" per grid square, which is perfect for miniatures if your screen happens to be lying flat, and updates in real-time to reflect GM changes.
A new Fog of War layer can also be added to the map to hide and reveal areas as the party explores. You can choose from three connection methods, including wireless options, depending on your setup. Read about all three in Roll20's Help Center.
Dungeon Scrawl’s Product Manager Chis McDonough previews Send to Tabletop with his at-home set up.
In addition to Send to Tabletop, we've added Custom Layer Presets and new Textures for Pro subscribers, Hex Grid support for maps, and a handful of other improvements to make your mapmaking workflow smoother.
You can learn about all of them in this week's Blog.
