A new edition of Play Unsafe, the classic book about storytelling in roleplaying games, launches its Kickstarter shortly.
Twenty years after the book was first published, author Graham Walmsley has announced a completely revised, hardback edition of the book.
"Play Unsafe shows you how to work less, play harder and add stories to your game," he said. "I can't believe it's twenty years since I first wrote it, but I've loved going back, rereading it and bringing it up to date."
Other authors and designers are looking forward to the new edition too.
"Play Unsafe changed the way I run roleplaying games," said Jared Logan, who streams with Glass Cannon. "Now, when I play, I feel like I make a real connection."
Designer and writer Kieron Gillen agrees. "Wherever you sit around the table, Play Unsafe will give you perspective and make you a better player," he said. "As in, one who is a joy to play with."
