gothHoblin's Grimoire now accepting Supernatural Submissions
Your stories, games, and roleplaying tools could join the supernatural forces of the next publication.

The popular online tabletop roleplaying game zine, gothHoblin’s Grimoire, is now accepting completed submissions for its upcoming publication in October, 2025, based on this year’s theme - Supernatural.
Each issue of the Grimoire is produced entirely by volunteers and published yearly at no cost to its readers, with a focus on system-neutral tools, supplements, and creative works intended to inspire games and stories related to its annual theme. Interested creators may submit articles, how to’s, listicles, reviews, rolling tables, encounters, one-page adventures, poetry, artwork, creative writing, homebrewed items or spells, recipes, maps, npcs, biomes, or any other materials that can be utilized in the enjoyment of TTRPGs.
2025 marks the first year that the materials will be published on its website rather than PDF format. Past issues can be downloaded for free from itch.io or DriveThruRPG.
Submissions created specifically for the Grimoire are preferred, but previously published works and simultaneous submissions will also be considered. Accepted pieces will appear beginning in the October issue, joining the content from previous editions. All rights remain with the creators themselves.
Amidst the large variety of acceptable formats and content types, the key requirement for submission is a connection to this year’s supernatural theme. With touchstones like Vampire the Masquerade, Monster of the Week, True Blood, The Craft, Salem’s Lot, The Dresden Files, and so many more, this includes modern and urban fantasy genres in real-world style, primarily in contemporary, post-1950 settings.
The editors of gothhoblin’s Grimoire emphasize that the project is based on enjoyment in the process itself, one of the reasons they have decided to keep the product available entirely free to its readers: “This project is for fun and for love, and as a way to collaborate and showcase one another as a part of the TTRPG community.”
