Join the Paper Cult Club, a new TTRPG Forum!

This is Paper Cult Club. It's intended to be a forum for TTRPG, board game, wargame, etc. developers and enthusiasts of all stripes to come together, talk about the craft and the business, and get to know each other better.

If you consider yourself a tabletop-related dev or enthusiast of any kind and can abide by the rules, then you belong here.

Why a forum?

Social media is trash for building any kind of community. If you’ve been on social media at all, you know this is true and I don’t have to get into the details. Discords are better but are still better suited to moment-to-moment chatting than proper extended discussion because it’s hard to backtrack to conversations. Long-form, asymmetric discussion is way better for any meaningful communication. And so, here we are: a forum.

There isn’t going to be a dedicated discord or IRC or other kind of chatroom that goes alongside this. It’s extremely likely you’re already on too many of those. We’re aiming for this format explicitly because it supports and encourages a more substantial form of communication.
