Doctors & Demons is a rules-light TTRPG for 1-4 players and a GM that blends together magic with medicine in an urban fantasy world.
Players take on the roles of Practitioners, members of a secret order that's dedicated to protecting the world from dangerous creatures, hidden agendas, and magical anomalies. These protectors access ancient powers by channeling magic through arcane rites, swearing upon sacred oaths, and invoking spirits to maintain balance between the world and what forces lie unseen. But players don't need to have medical degrees nor be familiar with arcane rites to play, they just need to know that their objective is to Protect & Heal.
A System for Quick & Easy Fun
This game uses the Fateful Eight System, which makes gameplay easy to understand and quick to get started. This system utilizes three Skills (Body, Mind, and Spirit) to depicts the actions that players attempt on their various journeys through the world. To accomplish tasks, players use a combination of eight-sided dice (Fixed, Magic, and Soul) to generate a pool of dice to attain success or deal with degrees of failure.
Be wary, though, as losing all of your Soul Dice tend to lead towards a permanent fate...
