Orcs & Crafts Movement Launching During Zine Month
Learn to create cool miniature stuff with cheap materials and basic tools
Orcs & Crafts is an indie zine project launching this February as a part of Backerkit Zinetopia. It's a beginner-friendly guide to making terrain out of cardboard, paper, twine, and other cheap or free materials, using only basic tools - hobby knives, scissors, PVA/tacky glue, and such. It aims to give everyone a new creative outlet while also enabling the building of wargaming or role-playing encounter terrain.

The project stems from a firm belief that creating handmade physical items is an excellent means of self-expression and reconnecting with your imagination in a heavily digitalized world filled with AI-generated content.

While people with years of experience and professional workshops may find a few interesting inspirations in the zine, the project's main goal is to show that you can create amazing projects in your living room, spending little to no money. From grim-dark, through whimsical fantasy, all the way to post-apocalyptic retrofuturism - Orc & Crafts is all you need to begin your creative journey.

The single-issue zine will be available in both digital and print formats, along with additional materials, including extra building projects. The creators of the zine, Katarzyna Kuczyńska and Marcin Kuczyński, are experienced game designers who now want to share their second passion: miniature terrain building.
Additional bonus rewards will be available at the very beginning of the crowdfunding campaign, so you can support the project and join the Orc & Crafts Movement right now by joining the waitlist!
