Munchkin Vox Machina – A Critical Role Game is a card game developed by Steve Jackson Games in collaboration with Critical Role. The initial partnership between the two companies was Munchkin: Critical Role. Now, they’ve come together once more to create an all-new Munchkin set based on Critical Role’s famous first livestream, Vox Machina.
In 2015, Critical Role launched their incredibly successful, award-winning roleplaying campaign. Munchkin Vox Machina – A Critical Role Game celebrates their first campaign and takes players on a journey through the world of Tal’Dorei in the realm of Exandria. Players can become some of their favorite heroes, like Pike Trickfoot and Scanlan Shorthalt, and battle infamous villains including the Ember Roc and Ghurrix. Before kicking down a door, players can prepare for the fight by equipping their Titanstone Knuckles and Mythcarver, along with other legendary items from Vox Machina. Allies, a well-known mechanic in Munchkin, are called Guest Stars in this set, and they help players in their encounters with villains. If a player cannot win a combat, a Guest Star can be sacrificed to exit the skirmish if they fail a run-away role. This deluxe set includes 172 Door and Treasure cards, seven large character cards and standies, a d6, a d20, and a gameboard to organize draw and discard piles and keep track of levels.
