You are a Tethered Aeon

As a revenant with powerful supernatural abilities, you form a Mystery Cult dedicated to resolving the toxic nostalgia for your past life.

If you like the sound of playing powerful undead revenants back from the grave to face the toxic nostalgia for their past, with a focus on breakneck action, interpersonal drama, and occult investigation, this is for you!

We are keeping rewards simple to avoid any disappointment. All digital rewards are ready to send the day funds clear, except where stated otherwise. Print rewards will be ordered one week after digital rewards have been fulfilled, and sent upon arrival.

❖ GAME ZINE

The game itself was designed and laid out by Tanya Floaker (BE SEEING YOU, Lo! Thy Dread Empire, Mum Chums), and will be available both as digital files and in print. The physical zine will be a 44 pages, A5, and Perfect-Bound with full colour throughout.

Every spread contains inspiring art by Strega Wolf van den Berg (Lichoma, I Don't Belong Here, Metastasis//Firestarter), along with setting info, rules, and summary sheets to help during play.

Penelope Farthing was cultural consultant/editor, providing additional research and guidance on how to treat Sethianism (and related poetic and spiritual texts) with proper respect. Farthing will be consulted before any alterations or additions to the setting take place.

❖ THE SOUNDTRACK

Dublin-based producer/performer Molly Noise is creating brand-new music to accompany The Thunder Perfect Mind. Molly's work can hit dark ambient, IDM, noisy guitars, and hyperpop, sometimes all in a single track!

There are two options for the soundtrack. The first is a digital single. This single track is the perfect way to set the tone either before or during play. The second is a full digital EP, containing extended music along with a digital booklet with notes from the creative team.

❖ SPLATBOOKS

Back in the nineties, the term splatbook was coined as an affectionate description for supplemental books which expanded or added to the core game. There is already a series of supplements planned for The Thunder Perfect Mind. Rather than requiring a certain level of funding to unlock each spatbook, the number produced will be tied to demand.

For each 1-50 people who either pledge for Splatbooks as a Reward or as an Add-on, I will create one supplemental digital zine to go along with the main game. Thus, 1-50 = one additional zine, 51-100 = two additional zines, 101-150 = three additional zines, etc.

The first of these will be Terrestrial Court. This will provide expended setting material on the undead salons where Tethered Aeons socialize, politic, and work to uncover mystic knowledge from one another. It will also provide standalone (but complementary) rules to run an ongoing political live-action role-play game in the setting.

❖ ORIGINAL CHARACTER ART

I will work with you to create one of five poster characters to represent the whole game line!

Your character will be a newly returned Tethered Aeon from one of the five Sects. I will commission Strega to create full colour art of your character in the same style you see here, and you will be given a signed and numbered art card. There is the option to use your likeness.
