On the long weekend before the campers arrive, the new teen junior counselors and cabin monitors for the summer of ‘95 - the “camptains” - reunite at Camp Whippoorwill.

The Young (www.theyounghorror.com) is a slow-burn horror actual play told through the eyes of the kids who lived it.

Set at Camp Whippoorwill in the summer of 1995, it follows a group of teenage counselors trying to hold onto their childhood refuge just as the world begins to fall apart.

When a strange sickness sweeps through the woods, the lodge burns, and the counselors find themselves alone with the campers. What begins as a nostalgic coming-of-age turns into a quiet fight for survival.

Played with Free League’s The Walking Dead RPG and blended with Microscope’s world-building, The Young combines narration-led play and immersive sound design to create a cinematic hybrid between audio drama and tabletop storytelling.

Episodes are under 30 minutes.
