Classic card game mechanics meet dungeon crawling adventures in this new puzzler about balance and death.

Dungeon Wilds is a new card game for 1 to 2 players accompanied by a complete deck of hand illustrated playing cards. It’s a rogue-like game where you play as monsters that destroy the dungeons you’ve been imprisoned in. It’s available for preorder and digital download now.


Included with each deck of cards is an instruction booklet on how to play the core version of the game. The game generally plays as follows:
You’ll use trick-taking mechanics to remove dungeon cards that block your progress and collect seeds as you sow those dungeon cards into your garden. You have a small amount of hit points and a lot of ways to lose them so you’re going to die a lot. But every time you die the seeds you’ve collected fall to the dungeon floor and help the wilds grow. In return the wilds give you items you can use to survive longer on future runs.

After 4 deaths the wilds will over-power the dungeon and destroy it setting you and your fellow monsters free. Each gift that you had received upon death also has a unique piece of lore attached to it. At the end you can string together the 4 pieces of lore and create a story about 1) What was the land like before the dungeon was built? 2) Why was the dungeon built? 3) How are the monsters doing now? and 4) What will the land look like after the dungeon is destroyed?

The core rule set in the instruction booklet contains layouts for 10 different floors for you to explore but they get increasingly deadly as you descend deeper into the dungeon.

On top of that we have exciting news! We’ve just released the first expansion and adventure module for Dungeon Wilds called Over the Dungeon Wall. It introduces a new map mechanic that keys the dungeon cards to specific blockages on a dungeon floor. This allows for new depth in exploring dungeons. Additionally, we’ve developed a combat mechanic that you can use to kill the Heroes that haunt the dungeon! Yay!
