Neon City Outlaws is Live on Kickstarter

Neon City Outlaws, a tabletop roleplaying game of cyberpunk heists and revolution, is now crowdfunding on Kickstarter! The newest game from award-winning designer Rodney Thompson (Dungeons & Dragons 5^th Edition, Star Wars Saga Edition, Lords of Waterdeep), Neon City Outlaws is the newest game using the 100AC System, a spiritual successor and evolution to Scratchpad Publishing’s first two successful Kickstarter games, Dusk City Outlaws and Spectaculars.

Neon City Outlaws is a tabletop roleplaying game for 3-6 players, set in a sprawling cyberpunk city that you design during play. In this game, the players take on the roles of criminals on the outside of the law, collectively known as the Right Kind of People to those who run in outlaw circles. These criminals come together to form a crew, and take on a job, a criminal enterprise brokered to them by a third party that targets the nigh-immortal executives and their oppressive corporations. More than that, these characters are poised to strike back at the corporations and corrupt government in a way that everyday, law-abiding citizens can't. When dissidents are branded as criminals and speaking out against the corporate oligarchy is labeled as a crime, those who try to fight the corrupt system become members of the Right Kind of People. The only question is, once you're on the outside of the law, will you keep fighting tyranny, or just do what it takes to survive as an outlaw?

Key selling points for the game include:

• Build the dystopian city you operate in during play using the included setting book, which you fill out as each setting element is needed
• Load your mind into different bodies to help execute your plan, using the shell overlay half-character sheets
• Build a character augmented by cybernetics, gene-splicing, or psionic awakening, or play as a sentient artificial intelligence inhabiting a robot body
• Enact large-scale change by controlling the city's outlaw factions in the Revolution, a phase of play that lets you topple corporations and liberate entire districts from corporate control
• Load your mind into the city-wide virtual reality Network, overlaying an avatar-half-sheet to quickly start playing in the VR realm
