Triangle Agency x FIST crossover The House Edge now available for playtesting
Fist and edge are both in the headline, you can make your own joke.
Do you like Triangle Agency and/or FIST? If so, Haunted Table Games has a little treat for you in the form of The House Edge, a semi-standalone game that smashes FIST agents into the Triangle Agency’s Vault of weird, reality-altering Anomalies. Using the FIST rules and a deck of playing cards, The House Edge takes the form of a repeatable, randomized dungeon that PCs proceed through in a fashion familiar to anyone who has played a roguelike video game. As they loop through the Vault again and again, the PCs grow in power, all to service the whims of the mysterious NOBODY.
Haunted Table is looking for feedback on the playtest version which is available to anyone who backed the Triangle Agency campaign on Kickstarter, members of the Haunted Table Patreon, and games journalists who ask nicely.
The Haunted Table team of Caleb Zane Huett, Sean Ireland, and satah collaborated with CLAYMORE’s B. Everett Dutton on the project, which started out as a simple crossover adventure before growing in scope. Initially a stretch goal for the Triangle Agency Kickstarter campaign, The House Edge has become a distinct production which may necessitate a crowdfunding campaign of its own. Huett has assured Triangle Agency backers that they will continue to receive updates to the digital version of the game. “That version may have a different final look based on how well our sales + fundraising go,” writes Huett in a Kickstarter update, “but you’ll get the best digital version of whatever we create at no charge.”

In its current form, The House Edge - Unstable Edition consists of the randomized dungeon itself and the mechanics to support it in a plain text format, with story elements and layout to come later. The ultimate plan is a full physical edition, complete with Triangle Agency playing cards designed by artists Michael Shillingburg and Kodasea.
Triangle Agency is Haunted Table’s game of wacky corporate horror and preserving the fabric of reality. A little bit Control, a little bit Severance, and a lot of the godawful branding and buzzwords you’ll have been subjected to if you’ve ever worked for a large company. Triangle Agency released in 2024 to great acclaim, winning 2024 Indie Groundbreaker Award for Game of the Year and Gold ENNIEs in 2025 for Best Game, Best Rules, and Best Writing. It also made a strong impression on Rascal founder Rowan while she was enduring corporate horrors of her own.
FIST, by CLAYMORE, is not a fragrance for particularly insecure men, but an RPG about paranormal mercenaries doing dirty jobs in the latter half of the twentieth century. Think The A-Team if BA Baracus was a cyborg werewolf and Murdoch had a jetpack. I realise that’s basically Metal Gear Solid, but that’s another one of FIST’s inspirations, so it all works out.
Now: the second half of the twentieth century. The powers that be are locked in a tense nuclear standoff, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Away from the watchful eye of national intelligence, a cadre of exceptional misfits is assembled. These soldiers of fortune are uniquely equipped for covert and unusual operations.
In these uncertain times, the line between science and superstition has been broken, and the new arms race is only beginning. You, or your associates, may be faced with weapons, tactics, and actors unlike any you have ever seen. For a price, those exceptional misfits can help.
When you’re all out of options, it’s time to call FIST.
If that appeals to you it might be worth checking out your Itch.io account, since FIST has regularly featured in charity bundles and, like me, you may find you already own a copy.
