Your temples have fallen. Your knights have been slain.

In Squire, you play a young apprentice, only days from completing your studies and becoming a Squire. Then, your temple is massacred by dark forces led by a dangerous Heretic, whose powers are a twisted reflection of your own. As a student, you have no hope of defeating them. All you can do is try and survive.
The game is a dark, brutal, solo survival RPG developed using the Carta SRD by Cat McDonald and Peach Garden Games. The player uses a deck of standard playing cards to explore the temple and attempt to collect the access codes they need to take a ship and fly out of the hangar.
As a player, you rely on your character's Path to see you through this ordeal. Paths are archetypes that define the nature of your character's relationship to the Weave, the psionic dimension of magic that underpins all life.
Every path has unique skills, talents, and even personal relationships shaped by the unique way they view the Weave. The available paths are:

- A Sage on The Path of Infinite Harmony
- An Artificer on The Path of Living Spirit
- A Shadow on The Path of Silent Tides
- A Warden on The Path of Threaded Fate
- A Guardian on The Path of Unyielding Will
