Heaven's Vault, the video game of space archaeology, will get a tabletop roleplaying game from the author of Cthulhu Dark, to Kickstart in early 2027.

Players will decode an ancient language, explore archaeological sites and find a way to save the future. They'll play through an all-new story set in the game's galaxy of watery moons, called the Nebula.

"This is a dream project for me," said Cthulhu Dark author Graham Walmsley, "If you're new to Heaven's Vault, you'll experience all this for the first time, and if you're a long-term fan, I can't wait for you to see what's new."

Video game Heaven's Vault won multiple awards when it was released. It was praised for its innovative translation mechanic and the way it brought history to life. Graham Walmsley has crowdfunded multiple roleplaying games, including Cthulhu Dark and Cosmic Dark, and is known for his work on Trail of Cthulhu, Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space and much more.

"I can't wait to return to the Nebula," said Jon Ingold, narrative director of Inkle, who created Heaven's Vault. "There are so many stories to tell and new moons to discover."

In part one of Ghosts of the Nebula, four new protagonists follow a lost robot and uncover a secret that could destroy the Nebula...unless they can find a way to save it.

Follow the Kickstarter, which launches early in 2027.
