The Halloween RPG about Trick-Or-Treaters, Magical Costumes, and Possessed Decorations is coming to print for the first time!
A Shadow possesses your town's Halloween decorations, animating them and throwing the town into chaos. However, by some magical twist, your costumes are no longer plastic and cheap, but real and powerful. It's up to you to save your town. And maybe, you'll score some candy along the way.

Fight or Fright!, written by Alex Marinkovich-Josey (@MixUpPixels) is a Tabletop Roleplaying game about kids learning to adapt to their new powers, but also holding onto themselves. Using a unique linked dice-pool system, players attempt to balance their new abilities with their own personality, staying careful to avoid losing themselves to this mysterious enchantment!
When an ancient enchantment, The Great Witch’s Thrall, possesses the decorations of your town, some lucky Trick-or-Treaters are granted the powers of their costume inspirations, and it’s up to them to save their town!
In Fight Or Fright!, you can:
- Create a character in seconds, by combining a Trick-Or-Treater and Costume Inspiration!
- Create a town and relationships between your characters!
- Find Candy, and share it to save your friends from the Great Witch’s Thrall!
- Take on the role of the Master of Candies, and create spooky foes, dramatic scenes, and an adventure in minutes!
Fight or Fright! uses three linked dice-pools that create the inner tension for your character. Just how much can you use your new powers without falling victim to the Great Witch’s Thrall yourself? Players have to constantly shift their dice around their character sheet by taking actions in the narrative, called Tricks or Treats! But dice can get trapped in the Plight pool, forcing characters to face their fears, or fall deeper into the enchantment's grasp!
