The votes are counted. Your passports are gone. The police are at the door, and the television crews want the best angle.

Fugitives & Fraudsters is a free, standalone tabletop RPG adventure from Brazilian publisher and news outlet Mesa de RPG. You play corrupt politicians who have just lost an election. Your next campaign has a simpler objective: recover your hidden fortune and get out of the country.

You have 24 hours. Your money is tied up in nonexistent cattle, religious donations, and a failed bank. Your allies charge for favors. Your colleagues have secrets. And a fugitive-hunting reality show is turning your downfall into prime-time entertainment.

This game depicts a fictional situation. Any resemblance to recent events in a certain Latin American country involving former presidential candidates fleeing abroad is purely coincidental.

Pages from the English edition of Fugitives & Fraudsters, featuring an adventure about corrupt politicians racing to recover their fortunes and flee the country.

A getaway with terrible company

Set in the fictional Latin American republic of Bergamota, Fugitives & Fraudsters combines political satire with Brazilian magical realism. A saint weeps when someone lies. A folk healer offers to multiply cattle. A pilgrimage might get you across the border—provided you can meet the price.

The adventure draws inspiration from recent political events and the recurring absurdities of public life. Its characters are fictional caricatures rather than representations of particular individuals.

Across four acts, players choose which stashes to recover and which escape routes to pursue. A Day Clock tracks the time they spend, while the Heat Die brings new hunters into play as the pursuit escalates. Private secret cards give each protagonist something to conceal, confess, or use against a colleague.

At the border, everyone has a plan. Getting the others to follow yours is another matter.

One PDF, rules included

The 52-page adventure includes the rules needed to play Agile 6, a Brazilian system created by Diogo Almeida and Taiguara Rangel. It uses pools of up to six six-sided dice, with the highest die determining the result. Conflicts follow the conversation without fixed initiative or combat rounds.

The book also includes NPC profiles, secret cards, coup-plan handouts, a protagonist sheet, and tools for running the pursuit. It is designed for four to six players plus a GM, with an estimated session length of six hours, and is recommended for ages 16 and up.

Written by Taiguara Rangel, Fugitives & Fraudsters is available in Portuguese, US English, and Latin American Spanish.
