Haunted, a Supernatural Noir RPG Played with Tarot Cards, Enters Its Final Week
Ghosts, cults, murder and broken detectives. The Gamefound campaign closes on Halloween.
Haunted is a tabletop roleplaying game about troubled investigators working impossible cases in a world where the ghosts are real and the cults are worse. Think True Detective, Se7en, or Constantine, with the supernatural turned all the way up. It’s the debut game from Burzerkerr Studios, designed by Jeremy Kerr, and it’s in the final days of its Gamefound campaign.
Tarot instead of dice
There are no dice in Haunted. When an investigator takes a risk, they draw from a tarot deck (and you don't need to know anything about tarot, promise). A Major Arcana card is a clean success, and a suited card is a success with a cost. Then the whole table reads the card’s image together to decide what actually happened.
Detectives with something to solve in themselves
Every investigator is haunted by someone from their past and carries a Core Wound shaped by what happened. Between sessions, each player works through a Redemption Arc: four personal scene prompts that let their detective face that past and maybe heal. The fate of the investigator is in your hands.
Join the dark gods
No campaign is complete without an arch villain, and Haunted supplies you with Twenty-Two of them. Manifesting as the Major Arcana, these ancient and powerful ghosts hate with a power that warps reality. These monsters from beyond time wear human faces and may be summoned by anyone desperate or delusional enough to see the bright side in human suffering. One campaign tier puts a backer’s face in the game as one of them. There are only twenty-two seats, and once they’re gone, the deck is full.
The final week
Haunted funded in six hours on October 1 as part of RPG Party 2026. The digital edition is $25 and the boxed core game is $89. The art is by Silver ENnie winner Belgin Kaya, Oliver Guiney and Melody Durham, and no AI was used in the art or text.
Not sure yet? A free Quickstart at hauntedrpg.com has everything needed to play tonight: six ready-made investigators, the full rules and a case to solve. All you need is a tarot deck and two to six friends.
The last day of the campaign is on Halloween.
