Kobold Press, a leading publisher of tabletop roleplaying game products, announced today the launch of its first-ever online convention, Kobold Con. The annual event features select Tales of the Valiant release projects and additional Kobold Press content coming in 2024.

Kobold Con is scheduled to be held in May 2024 and will premiere with the Kobold Showcase live-streamed event available online for all fans. The showcase will feature announcements and first looks at the Tales of the Valiant virtual tabletop and digital options available for purchase digitally for the very first time. Attendees will also hear about what to expect in future Kickstarter campaigns and a deep dive into new tabletop products available in 2024.

Throughout the weekend, Kobold Press will also host the first official Tales of the Valiant online Organized Play highlighting their VTT partners, including Shard, Alchemy, and Foundry, and revealing the official Valiant 6 characters. Game Master sign-ups are live now, and player sign-ups will be released soon. Attendees are encouraged to join the Kobold Press official Discord channel for more information.

At the end of the Kobold Con weekend, Kobold Press will host a culminating live stream charity actual play, raising funds for the brand-new Kobold Press Gaming Scholarship.

This scholarship will be given annually to a student entering collegiate studies of pen and paper game design. Kobold Press will match donations throughout the weekend, ensuring a new game design student is fostered into our industry.
"We are thrilled to announce Kobold Con and bring the Kobold Press community
together to celebrate our upcoming projects and release schedule," said Wolfgang Baur, Kobold Press's founder and publisher. "We can't wait for everyone to join us for a weekend full of discounts, partnership reveals, sneak previews, and charity fundraising."
