Sheetmancer takes your whole character from paper to pocket, for any RPG
Not just the character sheet. Sheetmancer scans your character's whole stack, up to ten pages per scan, into an accurate, editable Character Hub that syncs across your devices. Any RPG, any system.
Sheetmancer takes your character from paper to pocket. Not just the character sheet. Photograph your character's whole stack, the sheet plus spell writeups, charts, tables, backstory and notes, typed or handwritten, up to ten pages in a single scan, and it comes back as one accurate, editable Character Hub that syncs across all your devices. Any RPG, any system.
That last part matters more than it sounds. The big tabletop systems have their own apps, with the character sheet built in. The thousands of other games, the indie and small-press systems, the homebrew you actually play, mostly have nothing. Sheetmancer works for all of them. It comes from DigiRune Studios, a one-person studio out of Beaufort, South Carolina, with no publisher and no outside money behind it.
Everything about your character, off the page
- Any RPG, any edition.
- Up to ten pages in a single Character Scan, so spells, charts, tables, and backstory come along too, not just the front of the sheet.
- Typed, handwritten, or a mix. Charts and tables included.
- Start a new character, or add pages to one you already have.
- Every field yours to edit, in the theme you choose.
- Synced across all your devices, with a print-ready PDF export.
Plus so much more
Sheetmancer also bundles a Session Journal, a Photo Album for minis, maps, terrain and character art, a Dice Library and calculator with over 30 randomizers, a Fallen Heroes archive, and full-text search across every character you have made.
How the scan works
Sheetmancer uses a machine-vision model to read photos of a character you already own and drop that text into editable fields. That is the only thing the technology does here: it reads the pages you chose to photograph, the same job a document scanner or a visual-lookup app does.
It does not generate characters, art, rules, or lore, and it doesn't write anything that wasn't already on your paper. Every field is yours to correct by hand afterwards. No generative AI was used for the app's own artwork, icons, store listing, or written copy either. All of it is Will's own work.
How your data is handled is spelled out in the Sheetmancer Privacy Policy, and you can delete your account and everything tied to it from inside the app whenever you want (instructions here).
How much
Sheetmancer is a one-time purchase of $9.99, and your purchase comes with three full character scans of up to ten pages each. There are no ads and no subscription. If you need more, additional up-to-ten-page scans are $1.99 each, or $7.99 for a pack of five.
Who it is for
Players who bounce between systems, GMs juggling a table full of characters, solo players, fans of indie and small-press games that never got an app, and anyone with a folder of paper characters (and all the pages that go with them) they would rather carry in their pocket.
A note from the maker
"I love a paper character sheet but I also love being able to tinker with my character anywhere at any time and, since I LOVE indie games, there's never been a high quality universal RPG tool out there that would let me do so," said Will McCullough, founder of DigiRune Studios. "Sheetmancer keeps the whole thing, the sheet and every page that goes with it, and it works for whatever you play. A big system or something small and strange, your character gets a home in your pocket."
Sheetmancer is a universal tool for tabletop RPGs and is not affiliated with any game publisher.
