Small Toys, BIG Problems
The Lost Toy Brigade: Playtest Edition is Now Available for FREE
When you're five inches tall, every problem is a big one.
It doesn't matter if you're an expensive action figure with lots of pointy weapons, a vintage wind-up robot that stomps their way through town, or a cuddly stuffed animal based on a beloved cartoon. When you've got places to go, you need to work together. And while you don't always get noticed by humans, when you do it provides some...complications.

The Lost Toy Brigade: A New TTRPG
The Lost Toy Brigade is a new rules-light tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) from Space Cat Publishing (creators of Doctors & Demons, Year of the Undead, and more). In this family-friendly adventure game, players will take on the roles of Toys, those beloved playthings you know and love.
Players create Toys with a simple and intuitive character creation, defining key strengths, weaknesses, and flaws for their character while establishing connections with other players around the table. Sessions are either ran by a single Toy Master that helps to guide the narrative of the game, or players can choose a collaborative structure to learn about their journey as they experience it.
The playtest edition of this game features:
- Character Creation, where players can take almost any idea for a toy and turn it into a playable character at the gaming table in a matter of minutes. Build your Toy by defining how they look, act, and what special actions they can do.
- Accessible Rules, where simple Stat Checks guide the outcomes of events and abilities allow for cinematic scenes. High results have the potential to let you roll bigger and bigger dice, and low results may make humans notice your antics, adding further difficulty to your well-laid plans.
- Clashes, turn-based sequences as a new approach to resolve conflict. Move through Speaking, Acting, and Fighting phases for disagreements and disputes against an Adversary. This new system prioritizes peaceful solutions while still allowing for clever thinking, improvised solutions, and quick hands to solve a problem.
- The Imaginarium, a guide that lets players create stories about in any genre or setting. Suggested settings include Among the Stars (sci-fi), Lands Beyond (prehistoric), Wasteland (post-apocalyptic), and many more.
- Toy Master Toolkit, a snapshot of resources for players interested in running the game. This is a condensed guide that features approaches and insights for each section of gameplay alongside short preview of Adversaries available in this game.
- A Starting Adventure (An Off-the-Rails Rescue Mission), a 1-3 hour adventure for 1-4 players. This starting adventure gives Toy Masters an example of how gameplay can be set up and run before they get started with their own wonderful ideas and stories.
This gamebook includes character sheets for Toys, as well as a helpful Quick Reference Sheet that can be printed and used for new players and Toy Masters at the table.
