ULTRADELVE—a New TTRPG of Alien Ruins & Gig-Economy Survival
Inspired by Roadside Picnic, Annihilation, and BLAME!—play as ordinary weirdos crawling through extraordinary living techno-dungeons left behind by aliens.
PHILADELPHIA, PA, November, 2026 — Stillfleet Studio and Plus One Experience announced ULTRADELVE, a new tabletop roleplaying game of scavenging, alien mystery, and high-risk exploration, written by Konstantine Paradias with gorgeous art by Anthony Grasso and editing by Wythe Marschall.
Set on an Earth transformed overnight by a mysterious event called the Haze, ULTRADELVE casts players as Delvers: ordinary people facing precarity turned daredevil fortune-seekers who venture into the Structures—vast, alien, living megastructures that appeared suddenly across the globe, seeded with dangerous Biomes and priceless alien technologies known as Doodads. With the world’s governments weakened and paranoid and a black market hungry for anything the Structures’ vanished builders left behind, Delvers risk it all for a payout, an answer, or a taste of power beyond human understanding.
ULTRADELVE runs on the Grit System (originated for Stillfleet, as heard on Worlds Beyond Number’s SOLARI). The Grit System is a rules-light framework designed for fast setup. Character creation and core mechanics are built to get new groups playing within minutes, while a flexible Structure-building toolkit lets game managers generate original techno-dungeons, threats, and loot with ease.
Coming to BackerKit this November 3, ULTRDELVE will be available as a high-res PDF or physical softcover book along with an adventure zine (DELVER Magazine Issue 1) and the other Grit System game published by Plus One, Wythe Marschall’s PICARO! Early Modern Fantasy Role-Play.
ULTRADELVE includes:
- A complete rules-light system for running full campaigns
- Four distinct Delver classes
- Five ready-to-play Biomes, built to combine and recombine
- An extensive library of environmental Hazards
- Fast, flexible rules for building original Structures
- A catalogue of strange alien technology to discover and loot
- Fully statted alien Entities including iconic, ubiquitous mechanical waldos
- No lore, just OSR/NSR-style tables for motivations and backgrounds
“This [precarious gig work] is something very relatable for many people. The game itself is super fun, easy to learn, and it’s similar to a lot of why I think Stillfleet does work: it’s that spaceships are dungeons in the sky.”
—Christopher Pickett (Danse Macabre: Medieval Horror Roleplaying).
