Golem Productions has announced the full release of Ravaged by Storms, the first campaign book designed for PIRATE BORG. The mythic sandbox adventure is now available in print and digital formats through Limithron’s official third-party store and selected retailers, while physical fulfillment to backers is nearly complete.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign in August and September 2025 and a BackerKit pre-order period from November 2025 to April 2026, the project was supported by 719 backers and reached 37,195 € in combined funding. It is for groups who like the speed and brutality of PIRATE BORG, but want the campaign depth of a faction-driven OSR sandbox.

Ravaged by Storms is a campaign framework set in the storm-wracked Death Wind Islands, a remote archipelago in The Dark Caribbean. At the heart of the adventure lies the Lifeless City, a bone-white ruin guarded by a mythical feathered serpent. When a stolen relic threatens to unleash an ancient horror, pirate crews, colonial agents, undead sailors, and stranger powers are drawn into a desperate race against time.

Designed for 5–10 sessions of play, the module supports open-ended exploration, faction-driven play, and emergent OSR-style problem solving. Player characters may chase the fugitive sailor who stole the Wind Bone Key, bargain with monstrous island powers, side with rival factions, attempt to reach the Lifeless City, or ignore the warning and face the consequences.

The adventure was written and designed by Alexander Jatscha-Zelt, with over 40 pieces of original hand-drawn art and layout by Sabrina Jatscha. Together, they run the Germany-based indie studio Golem Productions, known for third-party supplements for PIRATE BORG. Copyediting was provided by John Baltisberger.

The adventure includes:

  • A 72-page sandbox campaign for 5-10 sessions of PIRATE BORG,
  • 9 adventure locations across the Death Wind Islands,
  • Travel and faction procedures, rumors, encounters, storm and ruin generators,
  • 7 new monsters, story-altering relics, and Squallbinding wind rituals,
  • Over 40 original hand-drawn maps, NPC portraits, and illustrations,
  • Solo Storm, a digital supplement for solo campaign play,
  • VTT assets, a digital poster, and an official soundtrack.

“PIRATE BORG is brilliant at fast, brutal one-shots, but the Dark Caribbean is too rich to only be visited for a single night,” said Alexander Jatscha-Zelt of Golem Productions. “With Ravaged by Storms, we wanted to show that the system can also carry a full campaign: a place where things happen whether the players get involved or not. The Death Wind Islands are not a plot to follow. They are a place in motion, full of factions, storms, monsters, and consequences waiting for each crew to make their own disaster.”
