Let Me Be Your Thrall: Aftertaste
A Sapphic Duo Game About Vampires in Love
Let Me Be Your Thrall: Aftertaste is the sequel to paypros' least favorite sexy, queer, vampire game, Let Me Be Your Thrall. If you're unfamiliar, Let Me Be Your Thrall is an indie TTRPG by Milkboy Games released on May 15th, 2025. It is a game about two lesbians - an obsessive human, and an elusive vampire - pining after each other. It is a bloody, sexy, game about experiencing their relationship as it develops; all of the ups and downs.
When Let Me Be Your Thrall was first released it was during a widespread internet censorship campaign. Because of this, the game was banned on itch.io for a period of time. Fortunately that did not stop the game from finding its fan base, as physical copies sold out at PAX Unplugged that same year, and then sold out again at Gen Con the next. It is the little vampire game that could.
Let Me Be Your Thrall: Aftertaste is the sequel to the infamous queer vampire game. Spoiler alert for content in Let Me Be Your Thrall from this point on, if you haven't played it yet.
Aftertaste takes place right after the first game. Now that the Vampire has turned the Human she must teach her how to get used to her new afterlife. The Vampire must get used to her new role as Mentor, as her and the newly turned Thrall try to hold onto their love. Whether their love survives the hardships of eternity is up to the players who take their roles.
Just like the first game, Aftertaste runs on the simple Let Me Be Your [Blank] system. This system uses only a deck of playing cards. You and your partner will play cards to generate prompts from a prompt table, you will then use those prompts to roleplay scenes. The suits of the cards will determine the mood of your character going into the scene. There's no dice, no stat blocks, no NPCs, and no combat. This is a completely GM-less system where you roleplay scenes together. Aces and face cards add an extra twist, depending on the game. In Aftertaste a face card will initiate a Hunter Scene, a chance for you and your partner to step out of your roles as Vampire and Thrall, and instead into the roles of two hunters who are hot on the vampires' bloody trail. This system is made for games about relationships over time, the tension they can bring, and how the things that were once exciting can suddenly become mundane in a beautiful way.
While Aftertaste has been released digitally on itch.io, RPGTrader, and DrivethruRPG, it has not yet had a print run. However, a Kickstarter campaign is launching soon to fund just that! If you'd like to get your hands on a physical copy of Let Me Be Your Thrall or it's sequel, Aftertaste, you should keep an eye on the kickstarter. You'll be able to make a pledge for both games when it launches.
There is also a Game Jam running to promote the Kickstarter. It's called the Lesbian Vampire Jam. If you'd like to make your own sexy queer vampire game, then you should join in. The winner of the jam gets a free physical copy of both Let Me Be Your Thrall and Aftertaste.
